Joseph Donahue of The Donahue Law Firm in Annapolis, Maryland filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of 20 renters in Annapolis public housing.

The City of Annapolis seems to have lower quality health and safety needs for the people living in public housing, many of whom are black.

The Housing Authority has failed to inspect  public housing apartments and that leads to lead exposure, mold, breathing problems and other serious maintenance issues that don’t get resolved.

Attorneys for the City of Annapolis later asked a federal judge to dismiss the lawsuit.
