In January of 2022, Joseph Donahue of The Donahue Law Firm in Annapolis, Maryland filed a Complaint charging Arbor Realty Trust, Inc. with breaking the rules of the Fair Housing Act.

Arbor Realty and its subsidiaries own a multifamily residential property in Langley Park for low income renters. The people who live there struggle with the building maintenance.  Often the heat, air conditioning and plumbing don’t work properly and trash and debris are strewn throughout the property.

In short, the corporations that bought the properties with government loans are not providing housing that is safe and affordable.  The rents keep going up and the renters have nowhere else to go.
